Twenty years ago, to automate a company's business processes you had to discard everything and start from scratch. Today, most companies already have some degree of automation in place; there is no longer a “green field.” Therefore, when we start working on process automation, the company already has systems in place that are supporting the business at the time. GeneXus' challenge lies in how to modernize those legacy systems and drive the company's Digital Transformation in the best possible way, saving the existing knowledge and work already done.
