Data Population using Business Components and Data Providers

A Data Provider allows not only the loading and return of compound structure of data from the database, but also from fixed data. A compound structure may be SDT as well as BC (business components). And also simple as collection.

Total length of videos: 8h 30m

We will see how to use a Data Provider to return a collection of Category type business components and then use the Insert method of a collection of BCs variable, to insert their values into the database. Same with Attraction.
Note: to assign a KB image to an element, attribute or variable, its link method is used.

Presentation

Objective: 
Through the development of an application, we will teach you the basics of GeneXus that will allow you to understand its logic and quickly build any type of application, now or in the future.

Approach:
The application developed will be a Web application but most of what has been seen will be valid for Web Angular development or for native mobile applications. The equivalences will be indicated in the video "Introduction to the Course".

Prerequisites: 
Basic programming and database skills. If you do not have them, we recommend that you study this material prior to the start of the course.

Suggested methodology for this course:
Alternate the theory with practice exercises you can download from the “Materials” section. 
Watch every video and in parallel do the practice exercises corresponding to those topics, until you have completed all the videos of the course. 

Approximate duration: 
Theory/Practice: 45 hours (not including the optional "bonus videos" that appear at the end of the course)

Exam:
