Update to GeneXus from version Evolution 1 to Evolution 2

Development of GeneXus applications for smart devices: Prototyping in the cloud

For developing an application, both web and for smart devices, for a real estate office, here’s how to prototype the application in the cloud.

We could locally prototype our web application + SD (that is: having the programs and the database on a local server), (see the previous video), or otherwise use the cloud regardless of the software and hardware.

This is done by changing the value of a property (Deploy to cloud).

Read the video script here.

The first section of this video shows how to start implementing the application in GeneXus, and then how to indicate to GeneXus that we want it to generate the application in the cloud (the database as well as the programs). This section is of interest to new users of GeneXus and also to those with experience. The second section shows how to generate the application in Ruby and load data of the real estate properties through a browser. The second part is ideal for new users, while those with experience might skip it and go on to the next section.

Presentation

These videos will give you an update on the changes experienced by GeneXus following its latest evolution.

In what concerns the Smart Device generator, only one introduction is considered. For further details we recommend videos of the "GeneXus for Smart Devices Course"

New GeneXus upgrades were released following the filming of these videos, so you may find differences between what is shown on the videos and the tests you may carry out with GeneXus. To download the latest version of the ppts, in pdf format, corresponding to this course and with upgrade 3 update, go to here.

Here you can see the duration of the videos.
