Controls: absolute positioning and transformations

How to achieve overlapping controls in a screen of a mobile application (canvas), where some of them are displayed on top of others. Also, it is shown how to make a control move across the screen in an animated manner. The specific case refers to a general controls (transformations): translating, rotating, scaling, re-dimensioning controls.
